VirMedica Expands Senior Leadership Team to Support Company Growth
June 8, 2016 – Boston, MA – VirMedica, the leader in providing e-access and specialty pharmacy technology solutions designed to expedite patient access to biopharmaceutical products, today announced the appointment of three new executives to the Company’s senior leadership team. John J. Arcari has been appointed to chief financial officer (CFO) and will oversee the Company’s financial operations. Richard Deyermond joins the company as vice president of client services and will lead teams engaged in the delivery of VirMedica’s technology solutions. As the vice president of engineering, Elizabeth Ricci will focus on building out the Company’s technology suite. These executives will report directly to Philip Lee, president and chief executive officer of VirMedica, and will be located at the Company’s Boston office.

John Arcari’s professional tenure spans more than 30 years and includes expertise in profitability enhancement, mergers and acquisitions and financial management. Most recently, John served as an engagement partner for Tatum, a Boston-based executive services firm. Prior to that, John served as the CFO of PHT Corporation, a leading provider of electronic clinical outcome assessment systems. Previous engagements include CFO positions at CRF, Inc., Organogenesis, Inc. and Intl.com. John is a registered Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and holds a MBA from New Mexico State University.
Richard Deyermond brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in SaaS and cloud-based software operations. Most recently, Richard served as senior vice president at Global Service Delivery, Data Intensity, a leading supplier of cloud-based and remote managed solutions for the Oracle suite. Prior to Data Intensity, Richard was vice president (VP) of product support/cloud enablement for Oracle, where he was responsible for global customer support for Oracle’s HSGBU (Health Sciences Global Business Unit). Previous to that, he was VP of customer operations at Phase Forward, which was acquired by Oracle in 2010. While at Phase Forward, Richard was responsible for all infrastructure and SaaS operations, along with global support and customer care engagement management teams supporting several leading international pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Richard received his B.S. in Business Administration from Fitchburg State College and his MBA from Northeastern University.
With more than 30 years in the computer software industry, Elizabeth Ricci joins VirMedica as an accomplished global software executive with a proven track record in engineering, project management and product development, with an emphasis on quality, timeliness and customer success. In her prior engagement as VP of engineering for PHT Corporation, she was responsible for all core products and was instrumental in rolling out the company’s next generation technologies. Prior positions include senior VP, products at Kadient, Inc., and senior VP, global products at Authoria, Inc. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Rutgers University and a M.S. in Mathematics from Northeastern University.
