Evelyn Gittinger joined the D2 team as a part time consultant assisting with reimbursement projects in the Medicare and Medicaid arenas. She officially joined D2 full-time member in 2014 and brings 20+ years of experience within the Healthcare and Insurance industries. She has in-depth knowledge of the criteria and processes necessary to achieve positive reimbursement outcomes for drugs, medical devices and biotech therapies amongst public and private payer organizations, with specific emphasis in Medicare, Medicaid, and managed Medicaid programs. Ms. Gittinger currently leads payer strategy development and coverage and policy implementation related to the public and government payer markets.

After seven years with State Farm Insurance in the Commercial Risk Underwriting and Management Planning Divisions, Ms. Gittinger entered the medical and payer sales arena. Her experience includes working with Drug, Device and Biotech companies. She has held various sales and reimbursement leadership positions including as Regional Manager with DeRoyal Industries; Technical Sales Director with Smith & Nephew Orthopedics; Director of Health Economics and Reimbursement with Xoft, Inc.; and multiple Reimbursement Strategy and Operations positions for several biotech pharmaceutical companies.

Ms. Gittinger is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. In 2011, she received her Certified Professional Coder accreditation through AAPC and in 2016, she became a member of the Women’s Business Leader Foundation (WBL). Ms. Gittinger served on the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners from 2007-2009 by appointment from the Honorable Janet Napolitano, Governor of Arizona. She currently resides in the Orlando, Florida area.
