Mr. Steiber primarily focuses on the commercialization and start-up of emerging pharma organizations, new product launch strategies, third party logistics – supply chain optimization – management, specialty pharmacy, HUB, trade development and marketing, formulary and contracting initiatives, and other business development efforts.
With nearly 40 years of experience, Mr. Steiber has served as Executive Vice President for the AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group and General Manager of ICS, a premier third-party logistics organization with $400+ million in revenues and 250+ associates in his chain of command. Mr. Steiber’s commercial expertise stems from launching over 80 organizations and hundreds of prescription and specialty products. Serving as Senior Vice President for Bergen Brunswig and later AmerisourceBergen, he had responsibility for all manufacturer relationships and Retail Marketing. Mr. Steiber understands pharma sales, having “carried a bag” for Eli Lilly, right out of pharmacy school.
Mr. Steiber has served as a practicing pharmacist, store manager, pharmaceutical buyer, clinical services director, pharmacy marketing leader for Longs Drug Stores, one of America’s leading chain drug stores.
Mr. Steiber’s professional affiliations include the Editor-in- Chief for Specialty Pharmacy Times, Editorial Board of Pharmaceutical Commerce and The Pharmacist’s Letter, an elected Academy Member of the Texas Pharmacists Association and membership in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), NACDS, RHI and HDMA (recipient of the “2000 Innovation for Success” Award). Mr. Steiber is a frequent speaker on behalf of many professional organizations.
Mr. Steiber earned his Pharmacy degree from Washington State University and has attended several executive programs at Northwestern and Harvard Universities. He is a registered pharmacist in California, Washington, Pennsylvania and Texas.
Mr. Steiber is no longer actively consulting with D2, however continues to support the Company with new business opportunity development.
